These pups are plenty old enough now to truly work with you on the potty training concept, the very young doxie puppies are not old enough to hold their bladder for very long, but these pups have had the time to develop those muscles and they are old enough to hold it for a much longer period of time. That helps you and the puppy get away from a lot of frequent accidents. This helps a lot so they do not start a bad habit, and the smell does not get in the floor of your house, (puppies have a very strong desire to return to the same spot and use the potty in this same location time after time, because they can smell the remaining odor from last time they went potty there).
 

They are old enough now mentally to concentrate and focus on you, and to know what it is that you want them to learn, they are very willing to learn, and try very hard, to please you, this is helpful in the training process.
 

They are not so fragile at this age, this is very helpful if you are searching for a pet for a small child or a little bit older child that might accidentally hurt or drop a tiny weiner dog puppy. They are so much fun at this age, they can run, jump, and play with you for long periods of time, they are plenty old enough now, and strong enough to go with you for long walks in the park, and on any adventure that you might choose to take them on. They are right there ready to go.

These older Weiner dog pups have many advantages to offer you, most of the time they are old enough to already have all of their puppy shots that are needed, (that saves you a lot of effort and money right there).

They are big enough now that you can truly see what they are going to develop into as an adult dachshund, that is very hard to determine sometimes with a tiny young puppies.
 

You can see their personality much better at this age also.
 

These mini doxie pups are eager and ready to bond with people, kids, and other pets, they are not
dominating at all, just very loving and playful, they are very submissive and love attention.
 

They do not cry and get upset the first few nights at their new homes, like tiny Weiner dog pups will,
 they have been separated from mom for quite a while, and are very well adjusted.

Males verses Females ? ! ? ! Do females make better pets than males, and why are females more expensive ? ? Why are there more males available than females?? No, females do not make better pets, females and males have the very same abilities and individual personalities. First breeders purchase many more females than males (as many as a 10 to 1 ratio). Next some people have a false idea that males will not grow up to be as loving or as cuddly as a female, just because they are males, this is simply not true. Another false thought is that all males will hike their leg and mark their territory, Again this is not true. If we have them neutered early in their life they will never learn to hike their leg, and they will not mark their territory, this habit is controlled by hormones and when we have them spayed or neutered we remove their hormone producing abilities (females also do this, if they are not spayed, but most people just don't realize this is what they are doing, because they do not hike their leg to do it.) In my personal experiences, I honestly believe that males make better pets and I prefer a male over a female. But hey that is just me !! The very best pets in my life were males.

These Miniature Weiner dog pups for sale are getting close to being old enough now, to have them neutered, and this is very helpful to you. If you are not planning on breeding your pet, this is the best thing you can do for them, and for yourself too. It truly helps them, and you, in many ways. It is a true blessing in housebreaking, and sharing your home with them. They will not have the urge to ride on other things as a show of dominance if they are neutered early, this habit is controlled by hormones also. Have you ever heard the saying "An ounce of prevention, is worth more than a pound of cure." It is very true in this instance and neutering your male pet early works like a true charm, (and also in spaying your female too). They never develop some of the bad habits that we accuse them of.
 

An older male Doxie puppy makes a great pet and he never develops the negative habits, we accuse him of, if we have him neutered at a young age (usually around 6 months or a little older), and he will never have a heat cycle and be ill tempered and make a mess by spotting all over your house like a female pup can, if she is not spayed early also. Females come into heat twice a year and the whole cycle last for three weeks each time. This can be very frustrating also so please spay and neuter your pets early to help everyone get along so much easier.
