a litter of pups. We have been asked by many people, What do we need to do if
we are interested in breeding a litter of puppies? There is not one simple answer
to that question.
Or What are our practices here at Busy B Doxies ? What all
is involved in the process of breeding and raising a litter of puppies?? What about
; The cost, the time, the devotion, and much more ? again, there is not one simple
answer to this question either.

Pet or Full AKC
Why is there 2 prices on each puppy?
PET-
When we sell a puppy to you as a pet we do not give you AKC registration papers for the puppy, We do give you a Sales Agreement, Health Guarantee, and a Vaccination Record sheet.
Your puppy does come with the same health warranties and is a full blooded quality mini dachshund. The only difference is that you chose not to pay for Full AKC Breeding Rights and AKC Registration papers for your pup.
FULL AKC -
We have worked very hard for years as a dachshund breeder, to breed our mini dachshunds in a way that will improve their bloodlines and produce a good quality mini dachshund, (this is not easy or cheap). We will sell the AKC papers for your puppy to you, as a dachshund breeder at an affordable price, if you wish to breed your adult dog in the future. We will expect you to provide a quality and loving home for everyone of our puppies, when they are purchased as a pet only, or with Full AKC breeding rights, (and we reserve the right to refuse to sell to anyone who we feel will not provide a good home for a pup.)
We can not emphasize enough, that you think long and hard about this decision, because it is exactly that, a long and hard process to do it well. Make sure that you are devoted and knowledgeable before you attempt to become AKC dachshund breeders. It is only fair to the dogs, and they depend on you to make the right decisions for them. Their care and health is in your hands.
How Much Does A Puppy Cost? (information from AKC)
This is not the time to hunt for a bargain. Your new puppy will be a member of your family for his lifetime, so you'll want to make a wise investment.

Then we also try very hard to breed a mini dachshund with good confirmation to the breed standards, available to you in several colors and patterns in Smooth or Longhair. This requires a lot of knowledge as a dachshund breeder, in many different areas of information. (We will never stop learning, no one person knows it all, and there is no such thing as a perfect dog)
Raising a good Quality puppy requires a lot of hard work, time, patience, and a ton of dedication. It is not easy or cheap to accomplish. Please see our Busy B Doxies Breeding Program page for more info.
When we sell our precious pups, we strive to sell them as pets to loving families. We try to make sure that you are willing to finish what we have started in raising a happy healthy puppy, this does require some effort on your part as new parents to the puppy. Dachshund puppies make wonderful devoted family members, (this puppy will return to you everything that you give to him, 10 times over again)
