Where Should I get My Puppy From ?
You have many Choices, make them Count !!
You can get an adult dog or puppy from a rescue group, remember to ask a lot of Questions, Make Sure you are Really getting what You Are Looking For, not just Settling for Whatever they have available, that May NOT really fit your family. A mix breed puppy (they are usually not real informed about the parents) may grow to be Very Different than you Originally were Told that it Would. Pay Very Close Attention to the Health of the Dog or Puppy, this can be VERY Expensive and Heart Breaking, if the animal is NOT in Good Health. There are Many Parasites and Diseases that are Common, and are a Serious Health Risk. Now is NOT the Time to be Bargain Shopping.
Remember you are making a 10 to 15 Year Commitment and IF the Animal is in Poor Health-
Please DO NOT get Any Puppy from a Pet Store or Breeder with 20 different breeds
! Or from a Puppy Mill Breeder who has puppies or adult dogs in Poor Living Conditions.
They Do NOT have the Best Interest of the DOGS or YOU in mind-
If you Do Purchase a Puppy from them, You are Only Encouraging Them to Continue there
Awful Practices. Leave there WITHOUT a puppy and then contact Animal Control, and
allow them to rescue many more puppies than you could, and Hopefully Shut Down the
whole bad facility! They Do Care and They Can Help !

Find a RESPONSIBLE BREEDER ! HOW ?? Here are some helpful tips.
Ask others who you know that have a puppy similar to the one you are looking for, if they know of a Responsible Breeder. Ask your Veterinarian if they know of a Reputable Breeder for the breed you are searching for. A Well Respected Breeder is concerned about the Betterment of their breed and finding Good Quality Loving Homes for their puppies also, Not just any home ! Bad news, and Good news, travels pretty fast, so ask around. Do your homework. Visit the breeders HOME ! Some ? Breeders may insist on meeting you somewhere OTHER than their home. There is a Very Good Reason WHY they do this, They are Hiding the Ugly Truth from You! Insist on going to Their Home ! and ASK QUESTIONS ! LOTS OF QUESTIONS ! A Good Responsible and Reputable Breeder Will Answer All of Your Questions, Honestly and with Respect To You. They should be able to provide you with all of the information you need to make a good decision. And be willing to help you understand more about them and the breed that they raise.
Ask to see a few of their adults, See how the Puppies and Adults Interact with the Breeder! Are the Puppies Happy and Social ? Or Shy and Scared ? And expect to be asked a few questions yourself. The Breeder should want to make sure you are a Good Home for one of their puppies. See if they have put their money back into taking care of their dogs or NOT. Do they Genuinely seem to LOVE and Care for the Puppies and their Adults? Or Is It Just A Way for them to Make Some Money!
Remember that the Purchase Price of a Quality and Healthy Purebred Puppy is Expected to be a Little Higher than just any puppy from Whoever may have one ! There are Very Good Reasons WHY This Is True, a Responsible Breeder is Very Dedicated to providing the puppy with Many Things that the Puppy Needs for Proper Healthy and Happy Development, from Day One of the Puppies Life ! !
This is NOT Easy or Cheap!
It Requires Dedication, and Hours & Hours of Work !
The Purchase Price of a Puppy is not the Only Price to Consider! There is ALSO The
Veterinarian Cost, and the cost of food and supplies for the new puppy also. If you
get a Puppy that Cost Less, BUT is NOT Completely Healthy, BELIEVE ME! The Veterinarian
Bills WILL EXCEED the Price Difference Very Fast! And You will end up paying MUCH
MORE FOR A POOR QUALITY UNHEALTHY PUPPY, in a VERY SHORT TIME FRAME, than you would
have paid for a HEALTHY & HAPPY, QUALITY PUPPY -
I Can not tell you how many times we have been told this unfortunate and sad story by customers who have been there, and experienced it for themselves in the past. When they got a puppy from someone who was NOT Experienced at knowing what all is required to raise a Healthy, Happy, Quality Purebred Puppy !
