Welcome to our Short Hair (Smooth) Mini Dachshund Puppies For Sale Page !
We would
like to offer you a little bit of information about our favorite of all of the Doxies,
the short haired mini dachshunds.
They come in many different colors, the most common
colors are Red and Black & Tan, but they also come in Chocolate & Tan, Blue & Tan,
Isabella & Tan, and Cream. They also come in several different patterns also like
Dapple (spotted), Piebald (white body with colored patches), & Brindle (striped).
Many people have asked us if we think that there is a difference in the short haired (smooth) dachshunds and the long haired dachshunds ? and this is the way that we like to answer that question.
Each dachshund has a very unique and different personality, just like humans do. But as a general rule we have noticed after spending years with many different Weiner dogs, that quite a few of the long haired mini dachshunds have a more relaxed and laid back way of looking at life, they are very regal and elegant in their actions.
The short haired mini dachshunds tend to have a little more energy, and are more playful, absolutely silly, the class clown in the crowd, always acting funny, bouncing and running around, they are ready for anything that comes their way, someone forgot to tell them that they are small, they have no fear, they are tenacious and very devoted. Doxies are willing to protect their family with a loud bark, (then hide behind your legs) see what I mean, silly little characters, always into something, making you roll with laughter and then looking at you like you did it !! Each one of them have their own unique characteristics, but they are all 100 % Dachshunds. They love blankets, and to tunnel into anything soft, a doxie will never have too many toys, they love them all and will hide them everywhere. Most short haired mini dachshunds love to chase balls, and critters too, they love to play with the kids for hours on end, while you watch with amazement, before you know it they have totally won your heart, just in days!!
Dachshunds want to be with you as much as possible, they want to share their day and life with you. If you want to snuggle on the couch and watch a movie, they are right there too, ready to cuddle and take a nap. You will never find a more loving and devoted pet, than a Dachshund, In Our Opinion ~ Doxies are the best little family pets ever !
As they mature into their older years they are like true family members and the hardest
thing you will ever do is tell them good-
