We would like to offer you a little bit of information about our Gorgeous Special Colors and Patterns Mini Dachshund Puppies.
 

Most people are aware of the usual colors that they have come to know in Doxies, ( Red, Black and Tan and Chocolate & Tan). Some people are aware of the Long Hair Dachshunds too.
 

BUT THERE ARE MORE ~ GORGEOUS COLORS~ AND THEY COME IN PATTERNS TOO !! Let me explain !
 

Dachshunds also come in Dilute colors-
Isabella & Tan Dachshunds- this is the silver shimmery light chocolate color with the tan points (like a Weimaraner Dog),
Blue & Tan Dachshunds- this is a slate gray color with tan points.

Red Dilute Dachshunds- this is a creamy soft pearl like red color (the dog will have a light color nose, not a black nose like other red dachshunds have)
 

Cream Dachshunds- are a very different color from red (not a red really at all by color) they should be very yellowish color like butter to be a true cream, (some of the creams will darken just a little bit as they get older, but not to a red color, if they do turn red then they are really a red dilute not a cream) some creams can be shaded with a thin layer of black tips on their hair.
 

NOW HERE IS THE FUN PART~~ THE PATTERNS~~there are also several patterns available~these include,

Dapple Dachshunds- they are randomly spotted all over, with two different shades of the same type colors, (like the military camouflage pattern)

Piebald Dachshunds- they have mostly white bodies with large patches of colored areas on them (like a Beagle Dog)

Brindle Dachshunds- these dachshunds have dark stripes through out there color of there body ( like  Bulldogs and Boxers)

NOW Think about this, we can mix and match any combination of the colors and patterns, even breed a Doxie with two patterns, like a brindle piebald, or a dapple piebald in any of the colors, and in Long hair or short hair, the possibilities are almost endless and they are EXQUISITE AND VERY UNIQUE LOOKING ! Just like a Dachshunds Unique personality.

THESE ADORABLE DOXIES are our weakness, and we love breeding them for the glorious color and pattern possibilities too (we always make sure the parents are healthy, have great dachshund conformation and sweet personalities before we even think of colors and patterns) and then we wait patiently till they are born, it is like Christmas morning, you just never know what we will get till mom has each one, WE GET SO EXCITED! What joy and love these Dachshunds have brought into our life, and they will bring the same things to you to.
 

So why don't you see them more often?? Because it is in the genetics~ most of these traits are recessive and must be carried by both parents to show up, or they are dominate but they only show up in some of the pups occasionally. So we still get the red, black & tan and Chocolates too, but sometimes we get these special little bundles of joy that are very unique in color and patterns.
