Busy B Doxies Offers Adult Dachshunds for Adoption
We try to provide you with as much information as possible on these Dachshunds available
for adoption.
If you think you might be interested in providing one of them with
a loving home please contact us at (865)856-
Some of these might be Dachshunds that we have rescued for many reasons, and need
loving supportive homes.
Occasionally we also may get an OLDER DACHSHUND PUPPY back from someone who purchased
a puppy from us and they could not keep it for it's entire life. We are very devoted
to our Doxie puppies and we ask each of our customers to never take any of our puppies
to a shelter or facility anything like a shelter, please bring them back to us here
first and we will do our best to match them up with a second loving home as an older
dachshund puppy or an adult dachshund for adoption.
We also get phone calls occasionally offering us adult dachshunds for a number of reasons.

All of our adults do have a small adoption fee to help cover their expenses, (this varies for each dog) and most of them will have been neutered or spayed before you get them (if not we do insist on a strict spay or neuter contract).

Welcome to our Adult Dachshunds For Sale Page !
We would like to offer you a little bit of information about our favorite dog the Dachshund.
They come in many different colors, the most common colors are Red and Black & Tan, but they also come in Chocolate & Tan, Blue & Tan, Isabella & Tan, and Cream. They also come in several different patterns also like Dapple (spotted), Piebald (white body with colored patches), & Brindle (striped).
Many people have asked us if we think that there is a difference in the short haired (smooth) dachshunds and the long haired dachshunds ? and this is the way that we like to answer that question.
Each dachshund has a very unique and different personality, just like humans do. But as a general rule we have noticed after spending years with many different adult dachshunds, that quite a few of the long haired mini dachshunds have a more relaxed and laid back way of looking at life, they are very regal and elegant in their actions.
The short haired adult dachshunds tend to have a little more energy, and are more playful, absolutely silly, the class clown in the crowd, always acting funny, bouncing and running around, they are ready for anything that comes their way, someone forgot to tell them that they are small, they have no fear, they are tenacious and very devoted. Dachshunds are willing to protect their family with a loud bark, (then hide behind your legs) see what I mean, silly little characters, always into something, making you roll with laughter and then looking at you like you did it !! Each one of them have their own unique characteristics, but they are all 100 % Dachshunds. They love blankets, and to tunnel into anything soft, a doxie will never have too many toys, they love them all and will hide them everywhere. Most dachshunds love to chase balls, and critters too, they love to play with the kids for hours on end, while you watch with amazement, before you know it they have totally won your heart, just in days!!
Dachshunds want to be with you as much as possible, they want to share their day and life with you. If you want to snuggle on the couch and watch a movie, they are right there too, ready to cuddle and take a nap. You will never find a more loving and devoted pet, than a Dachshund, In Our Opinion ~ Doxies are the best little family pets ever !
